The fundamentalist principles of a toaster oven

You know what really makes me mad?  Saran wrap.  It is so stupid.  You have to unravel it from the package and hope that it does not get caught up in itself,  because when it does, boy is it hard to get untangled.  Most of the time, you just have to start all over again and pray that you will not have to attempt it again.  Yeah, saran wrap is no fun.

Anways...
Amanda here, writting again in Isaac's blog, sans-Heather, but with Binner.  I took his blog into my own hands, remebering the good old days when Heather and I both used to do this.  Between now and that entry, Isaac has only added one post of his own accord.  I thought it was time for another hyjacked entry.

...that is all.  ^_^

We are a Nation whose Government was designed to be Under God

In 1854, the Houses Judiciary Committee Stated:
"The great vital element in our system (the thing that holds our system together) is the belief of our people in the pure doctrines and the divine truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

The Judiciary Committee also stated:
"In this age, there is no substitute for Christianity... that was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants."

Our Constitution States:
"Congress shall make no law... prohibiting the free exercise [of religion]."

John Adams said:
"Our constitution was made only for a moral and a religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Patrick Henry may have said it best:
"Whether this [new government] will prove a blessing or a curse will depend upon the use our people make of the blessings which a gracious God hath bestowed upon us. If they are wise, they will be great and happy. If they are of a contrary character, they will be miserable. Righteousness alone can exalt them as a nation. Reader! Whoever thou art, remember this, and in thy sphere practice virtue thyself and encourage it in others."

Greetings earthlings

Welcome to Isaac's blog.  This is Isaac's friend Heather speaking.  And his other friend Amanda too.  He never writes in this blog, even though we all wish he would.  But we decided that, since it was February when we last heard from him, we would take matters into our own hands and post a new entry.  Behold...

A New Blog Entry From Isaac Mahoney!

We now interrupt this blog entry to bring you a very important announcement: IOWA HAS JUST FROZEN OVER!!!!!

...that is all.

I found my Bethel Audition cd. I didn't get a scholarship... but it's nice to hear myself play, (when I was much better.) ... I've been working on composing music. It's going fairly well. I have a few solid things down... it still needs work.

I really hope I can do this.

Still, it's comforting to hear things I've composed and arranged before. Everyone seemed to like O' the Deep Deep Love of Jesus. It's always been my favourite hymn, it's just... powerful. When Bill Backlin asked me what hymn I wanted to arrange, I chose that one right away. It has a peace, a power, and a resolve about it. Like it's name, it really captures how deep Christ's love was for us. I remember playing it for the recording like it was yesterday. I could see the path of Jesus: His struggles in the garden, the betrayal from Judas, His beating's by the hands of the Jews... Suffering the whips of the Romans, struggling to carry the cross, and the final conclusion, His crucifixion.

I have always loved this hymn:

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!
Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love
Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, spread His praise from shore to shore!
How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!
How He watches o'er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;
How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o'er them from the throne!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, love of every love the best!
'Tis an ocean vast of blessing, 'tis a haven sweet of rest!
O the deep, deep love of Jesus, 'tis a heaven of heavens to me;
And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!
